Basketball Referee Resources
Fees, tournament schedules, grade state dates, uniform requirements, and everything else you need on the court.
Referee Expectations
- Arrive Early — Be at the gym at least 15 minutes before game time. Check in at tournament headquarters before your first game.
- Professional Appearance — Wear a proper referee uniform. Looking professional is extremely important.
- Know the Rules — Review the rules for each game and age level. Rules can vary between associations and tournaments.
- Communication — If you're going to be late or need to cancel, contact your assignor immediately.
- Cancellation Policy — Cancel assignments at least 72 hours in advance. Inside 72 hours, you are responsible for finding your own replacement.
- Incident Reporting — Report any ejections or conduct-related incidents to your assignor within 24 hours.

2026 Basketball Tournaments
MYAS basketball tournaments running February through March 2026, followed by the MYAS Spring Series through June.

Runs end of March through end of June. Specific dates and locations will be added as they become available.
Reminder: Check in at the gym before your first game. Review the rules for each age level. Report any ejections to your assignor within 24 hours.
Uniform & Equipment Requirements
- Shirt — Black-and-white striped referee shirt
- Pants — Black pants
- Shoes — Black athletic shoes
- Whistle — Bring your own quality whistle to every game.
- General — Arrive in full uniform, clean and presentable.
